Jacksonville FC’s next JFC Cares Initiative: DANIEL KIDS EASTER DRIVE.

Daniel Kids provides services to local children in residential mental health treatment and children currently in the foster care system. 

Daniel Easter Drive 2024 

More than 3,500 local children and families will be looking to Daniel to help make their Easter special. We count on hundreds of caring individuals, corporate partners, schools and community groups (like you) to help provide a Happy Easter to these special children. This year we are requesting specific item baskets.

Please select a basket type from the list below and fill with any or all of the listed items. Donations to the Easter Drive are also welcomed. Sweet treats can be included, but sparingly please.

We are also pleased to announce our next charity effort for this 2023 holiday season will be supporting Community PedsCare.

Our aim at JFC is to not only create skilled soccer players but well rounded, philanthropic, empathetic young men and women.

Community PedsCare is a nationally recognized pediatric palliative and hospice program for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. They offer support, comfort and care to over 175 children and their families in North Central and Northeast Florida.

Currently there are around 190 children in the program and more than 300 children, made up of patients and their siblings that need gifts from Santa as most of these families are faced with high medical expenses. Some have a list of gift options (generally 3 items listed) and some request gift cards.

HOW YOU CAN HELP!

Please email Rebecca Burchell at rburchell@jfcsoccer.com to request a wish list for an individual child asap.

Purchase the gifts on the wish list , DO NOT WRAP THEM, and drop the gifts off to the Ed Austin Park or Davis Park by December 8th.

Malivai Washington Youth Foundation Annual Thanksgiving Drive 2023

The MaliVai Washington Youth Foundation (MWYF) has been providing youth development programs in Jacksonville, FL since 1996. What started as a way for pro-tennis player, Olympian and Wimbledon finalist MaliVai Washington to introduce urban youth to a sport he loved, quickly blossomed into a comprehensive after-school youth development program, Tennis-n-Tutoring (TnT). 

We are looking for non-perishable items for MWYF families this Thanksgiving!

Jacksonville FC’s next JFC Cares Initiative: Soccer Drive for South Africa

WHAT: We will be collecting donations of old uniforms, training gear, and cleats. These donations will be sent to the Kwazulu-Natal Province in South Africa to kids in need within 17 different elementary schools.

WHEN: August 1st through August 5th

WHERE: A bin will be placed outside of the front office at Patton Park and outside the clubhouse at Davis Park from 4PM - 8PM August 1st through August 5th. We thank you in advance for the help!

Jacksonville FC’s next JFC Cares Initiative: LOVE FOR ETHIOPIA.

Love For Ethiopia is a 501 (c)(3) charity. All donations are tax-deductable. We are a grassroots organization run mostly by families who have adopted from Ethiopia, and are volunteering their time and talents.

WHAT: We will be collecting soccer and school items to be used by the children at the Love For Ethiopia Orphanage.

Items can be soccer jerseys, shorts, and school supplies like pens, pencils and colored pencils (no paper products). With new uniforms coming for next season we can put last season’s uniforms to great use!

WHEN: Starting April 25th and running through May 18th.

WHERE: We will be collecting items in labeled bins that will be placed at Patton Park and Davis Park

JFC is pleased to announce our next JFC Cares Initiative: ALL THINGS SOCCER DRIVE. Our efforts will help and support ALL THINGS NEW (ATN). To learn more about ALL THINGS NEW and their orphanage in Haiti please visit: https://atnhaiti.com/

What:

We will be collecting soccer items to be used by the kids that reside at the All Things New Haiti Orphanage. The kids need cleats (used or new). If purchasing new cleats contact Zach Sievert (zasievert@icloud.com) for shoe sizes that are needed. We will also be collecting other soccer items such as jerseys/shorts, balls, bags, and shin guards.

When/Where:

February 1 - Febraury 21 at Patton Park

Collection bins will be placed in front of the PATTON PARK Office from 6:15pm to 8:30pm during weekday practices. Collection bins will also be available at Davis Park and on Saturdays from 9am - 3pm. Collection Bins will be emptied daily. Once the ALL THINGS SOCCER DRIVE is complete, all items will be delivered to Matt Bush, director of All Things New Orphanage.

Jacksonville FC; Suddath Spread Holiday Joy to Children in Need

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville FC, a philanthropic youth soccer organization, donated more than 300 toys to more than 100 families with children at Community PedsCare®, a nationally recognized pediatric hospice program for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. The toys were transported, unloaded and delivered to the families on Tuesday, Dec. 15, by Suddath, a Jacksonville-based global transportation, relocation and logistics company. 

The Jacksonville FC program teaches children about soccer and giving back to others. It focuses on club-wide donations of time, talent and contributions to help make life better for those in need.  

“We at Jacksonville FC recently started our JFC Cares initiative and we couldn't be more proud to work with Community PedsCare,” said Pat Cannon, executive director of Jacksonville FC. “To be able to give back and help these children have a Christmas is very important to our club. A big thank you to all our JFC Families who stepped up in these times to help PedsCare children.”

Established in 2000, Community PedsCare offers support, comfort and care, free of charge, to more than 175 terminally ill children and their families in North Florida.

“Thank you so very much for the generosity and spirit that so many have shared this year,” said PedsCare Director Patrice Austin. “This event marks a memory in the hearts of the pediatric families, a safe experience to shine the light on the holidays and spread a spirit to fill the hearts of our most precious children. It is through Jacksonville FC’s gift of giving and community compassion that our families feel the love and the true meaning of care.”

The company that assisted with transporting and delivering the toys, Suddath, has been part of the Jacksonville community since it was founded in 1919. In addition to being a leader in the moving and logistics industry, it is also dedicated to taking cares of the local communities where it operates.
