Ancient City Soccer - Joins the Fleet

Youth Partner Ancient City Soccer Club Joining Armada FC Youth Academy

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (March 10, 2017) – The Jacksonville Armada FC Youth Academy announced on Friday that they will be partnering with the boys and girls competitive program from Ancient City Soccer Club.

ACS's competitive program is the third strategic partner joining the academy since it was established in April, 2016.  With the addition of another prestigious youth club, it strengthens the full club development pyramid and player pathway for local talent while at the same time remaining focused on community based programming.

During the past 35 years, ACS has been the cornerstone of the St Augustine youth soccer community led by passionate and dedicated leaders whose commitment to youth soccer is unsurpassed.  Focusing on player development, ACS is home to a thriving recreational and academy program with numerous alumni who have dotted the collegiate and professional soccer landscape.

According to Chris Dunn, Jacksonville Armada FC Youth Academy BOD President, “It is an exciting time when youth clubs can come together in the best interest of the kids and I am honored to be working with the entire Ancient City Soccer organization under the Armada FC Youth Academy name.  Welcome to the fleet!"

“ACS’s new partnership with the Armada FC Youth Academy will provide a healthy developmental pathway for those living in the St Augustine community”, states Josh Braun, Ancient City Soccer's Director of Coaching.

Meredith Conroy, Ancient City Soccer BOD President adds, “ACS is excited to offer this opportunity for our membership.  This will enhance what Ancient City provides families, a program that is focused on player development.  We are fortunate to partner with a soccer club that aligns so closely to Ancient City's mission and to build on the Jacksonville Armada FC Youth Academy's success.”

Current Armada FC Youth Academy Executive Director Eric Dade will work closely with ACS Director of Coaching Josh Braun to continue to improve the youth development model for all of the academy’s teams.

Eric Dade says "We are thrilled to be expanding the Fleet with the like-minded leadership of Ancient City Soccer. Their history of player development is well known and mirrors our philosophy of development. We look forward to our partnership and the opportunities it will provide more young players."
